Artist Statement

Some describe my work as abstract impressionism, and I add the term "contemporary".

Landscapes and botanicals on the landscape are my primary subjects of interest in my water media compositions.  Some say they are glowing, Persian, lyrical, beyond Jackson Pollock, though not consciously so.  I like to think of them as a brief, refreshing spring shower which is just enough to cool and refresh the spirit and send me happily through my day.

I have spent much time studying God's art techniques in nature.  I believe it is at His prompting with ideas that I work in different styles.

In addition to "beyond Jackson Pollock", He has led me to see and paint delicate, abstracted landscape watercolors of the hills of Tennessee (see links).  They have just enough line to define and to rest the eyes. As I was traveling up the interstate in the middle of winter, the land was bare enough for me to see the sculpting of the Heavenly Father in His grand creation.

Some of my paintings have their own statement history.  Among those are the paintings in my traveling art show 'I Will Tell':  The Journey in the Right Direction.

In 2007 the Heavenly Father began to show me paintings in my sleep.  They are about Him, Jesus, the Heavenly Family, Salvation, redemption, the return of Jesus to the Earth, etc.  He, also, gave me things to say about this.  Many of these paintings are interpreted in a catalog. It can be purchased for $20 USD and S&H.

It is true that Satan will try to thwart God's plans. He presented barriers to try to stop progress on 'I Will Tell'
